Ryan Iaciancio, a senior goalie for the Providence ice hockey team, finished with a 32-7 record this season. He combined a 1.60 goals-against average with a .940 save percentage in posting eight shutouts.

He led the Celtics to the Catholic League’s regular-season title and to the Kennedy Cup championship. Iaciancio was also named the MVP of the Kennedy Cup playoffs with a 4-0 record, a 0.75 goals-against average and two shutouts before leading Providence to a second straight appearance in the championship game of the Blackhawk Cup, the AHAI’s state tournament.

“Ryan has impacted this team in many ways,” Celtics coach Nick Iaciancio said. “Most important has been his consistency and confidence. As a goalie, he controlled the tempo of the game, which was huge for us with four new defensemen. His confidence rubbed off on many of our less-experienced players.”
